Fresh Home Delivery: a box full of delicious vitamins!

Not too long ago, I got to know ‘Fresh Home Delivery’, a wholesaler offering boxes of fresh vegetables and fruit to private customers. Since discovering them, I’ve had two boxes delivered and my third is on order. The boxes are always well-filled with products of the highest quality. They can offer this quality at Fresh Home Delivery because it’s a subsidiary of Vers d’Anvers, which normally only supplies to the hospitality industry. I asked founder Tim Yzewyn why they’ve been delivering to private customers for over a year now.

How did Fresh Home Delivery start?

Fresh Home Delivery has existed since March 19th for 1 year. Right after the lockdown, our website went live because we had to think outside the box quickly and find a solution to sell our stock and somehow make up for the loss in hospitality revenue.

Why did you start delivering to private customers?

It seemed like a good idea to make up for the lost revenue and also help people by delivering fresh products to their homes, especially during the first lockdown when everyone had to stay home.

What do you offer?

We first started with 3 basic boxes: fruit, vegetables, and a mix. Soon we came up with new ideas that filled a gap in the market and met consumer demand.

How many different boxes do you have?

At the moment, we can offer 32 different boxes to our customers.

How do you put these boxes together?

Our boxes are customized according to the daily offerings at the auction and from our growers. So our boxes always contain fresh daily products.

What is your most popular box?

Our fruit box is currently our bestseller.

Where can customers find you? And how do the boxes reach the customer?

Through our website www.versaanhuisgeleverd.be, you can order a box, and if you live in Flanders or Brussels, we’ll deliver it to your door. Or you can pick it up in Antwerp at Kielsbroek 4 warehouse A2.

What does the future look like for Fresh Home Delivery?

Customer reactions remain positive, and that’s why we definitely want to continue. Moreover, through this site, we also reach companies that want to give their employees an extra incentive for their remote work by gifting one of our nice boxes. For large quantities, we can also create a custom box. Our end-of-year boxes were a huge success.
